She Bangs

Hi guys.  So I'm pretty sure the next time you see my smiling face I'll be sporting bangs.  Alexa Chung bangs to be exact!  I've been wanting to cut bangs for a really long time now but have had trouble getting images of this terrible haircut I had about 10 years ago out of my head.  It was all wrong.  The bangs were too short, my hair was too short, it was too thick.  I  looked like I was 12 BOY.  Not really the look I was going for in my mid twenties.  I'm literally cringing now just thinking about it.  Anyways, time has passed, wounds are healed and I have a hair stylist I love and trust.  I'm also hoping that because I'm older now bangs won't make me look like a preteen.  Why exactly is changing up your hair such a big deal.  I mean it grows back right?

  1. I always psych myself up and want bangs...until I get bangs. Then I spend months hating them.

    1. Me too! That's what I'm afraid of. I haven't had even a side swoop (Reese Witherspoon) bang in more than 2 years though so I'm hoping that time and aging have helped my face mature a bit. I really don't want to be kicking myself in the butt when it's all said and done. Eeeekkkkk.

    1. Change is good! I think the overall thing I need to remember is that it only hair and it will grow back, even if it is torture. Hope you're having a good day Mariah.

  3. I love giving myself bangs every once in a while. My hair grows back pretty quickly so it doesn't bother me for too long after I get sick of them (b/c I always get sick of them, haha!).

  4. Ahh the bangs debate! I also have this on a probably annual basis and twice it has resulted in me getting a full, blunt, heavy fringe that it oh so hard to manage and doesn't suit my face. I do occasionally get a side fringe though not too short then grow it forever thinking "I want to grow this out" its such a vicious cycle! lol

Totally relatable. Can't wait to see your Alexa bangs! :)
