Glass Half Full

Source
Guys!  I've seriously lost any grasp I had on what day of the week it is, or what time of the day for that matter.  I look at my watch and BAM, it's already 5:00pm, or whatever time it happens to be.  Anyways, for my personal well being I need to look at this crazy work schedule glass half full.  So here goes.

These long hours mean I'm making extra money!  It's almost to the point that I don't care, but hey, we'll go with it.  When I'm unwinding in Vegas at the Encore Spa and I splurge on an extra treatment, I'll be happy.

I'm gaining incredible experience that I know I can use down the road for MYSELF. That is if I can get over the hurdle that I think starting my own business would be.

In a week I'll be working downtown where there are amazing options for lunch and happy hours.  Bye bye sleepy office park with not much else but Subway and McDonalds.

D is doing whatever he can to keep me sane which means, my chores.

Co-workers are being nicer to me because they know how much stress I'm under.

I'm only eating two meals a day and am not snacking at all so I've gotta be losing weight right?

This madness is not permanent.

Your turn.  Dig deep and let me know the worst thing you guys have going on right now, then let me know one thing you can be grateful for because of it.   We can do this guys!

  1. Hello guiltless indulgence yes please! It will make the trip to Vegas even more amazing! (Can't wait for photos ahhhh!)

You want to start your own business? That's amazing! YOU will be amazing! You work so hard and are so dedicated. P.s. need Marketing personnel? lol

"D is doing whatever he can to keep me sane which means, my chores." I love this sentence. SO. MUCH. Although I'm currently on the other side of it with Glenn (doing all his chores, which weren't many to begin with, where is the justice?? lol)

As much as I'm envying you for eating only two meals a day (how bad does that make me sound? lol) unintentionally, that is so bad Miss Shannon, you NEED to take care of yourself and pack in the nutrients to keep you going, or else come next weekend you will be completely zombified, if you aren't already.

I'm so in awe of your positivity, I just exclaimed "I'M ON MY LUNCH, GIVE ME 30 MINUTES" to a co-worker and it's only Tuesday. And I have my weekends off unlike you. Dear Lord what would I be like if I worked as many days in a row as you? Lol.

    Love and Hugs
    XO

    1. Funny you should mention it Sarah! The area I struggle with is Marketing :). I know my audiance, but I dont know how to reach them. I'd love to pick your brain sometime. I've got the idea, I've got the drive. I just don 't know how to get my first client.

I'm so glad that you yelled "give me 30 minutes". Totally made me giggle. Thank you for your love and support miss Sarah!

  2. The Encore spa sounds like heaven! You deserve it! I am just dealing with a lack of motivation in general right now, but I know it will pass. It always does!

    1. Sometimes I think a lack of motivation is our body and minds way of forcing us to take a break. It's ok. Like you said, it always passes. Wishing you a wonderful day Lauren!

  4. I'm so proud of you for keeping up with what you are grateful for and trying to look at it in another light. Don't you just love great husbands :) I'm glad he is there to try to keep you a little sane :) It will feel extra good when you go to the spa because you certainly EARNED IT!!
I'm terrible at being a half-glass full person I like to say I'm not an optimist or a pessimist I'm a realist. Though if we are honest sometimes fall on the glass-half empty side :)

    1. Thank you M! I've been a realist borderline pessimist forever. I'm hoping these grateful post get me closer to realist borderline optimist because the glass half full outlook definitely makes the day easier. This old dog has a tough time picking up new tricks though, so we'll see. Have a fantastic day my friend.
