Nordstrom March Make An Entrance Picks

Maybe it's because I have a fantastic getaways on the horizon, which I of course will need a few new pieces for, or because it's 80 degrees and absolutely perfect here in San Diego, I'm so ready for Spring and a refresh,  In either case the March Nordstrom catalog has me flipping out, literally.  I mean I want pretty much everything!  Get settled in ladies, this is going to be a long flight.  Who's ready for Spring?  I know all my favorite East Coasters are.

Gold statement necklace for $68, heck yeah.  This beauty will go with everything from a white tee to amazing shift dress.  In case you haven't figured it out by now, I love me some big, bold, jewelry.  The matching cuffs are gorgeous too, but I'm definitely more of a necklace gal myself.

This look is totally appealing to my inner cool girl.  I mean look at the zips on the pants.  Hey, did I tell you guys the good news???  Come March 31st I've got the green light to wear jeans to work all day everyday, woot woot!  This is the perfect casual/professional look don't you think?  Seriously, the zips on these Paige Marley skinnies (even the style name is cool) are amazing.  I already have the Paige Skyline in white (which are fantastic and on-sale my friends) but these are definitely different enough to justify a purchase in my book and hey, you can never have enough white denim when you live in Southern California.  And for those of you with money to burn, the top and Jimmy Choo shoes

If you don't want to spend $$$ but you want some amazing denim, try KUT from the Kloth.  I don't know why, but I don't seem to like their colors/styles in the Fall and Winter, but every SpringSummer they come out with at least one pair of jeans I know I have to have.  My favorite boyfriend jeans are KUT (confession, I've worn them for the last 3 days now, without washing them).  They fit amazing and are super comfy.  These caught my eye this year and will be coming home with me.

So as you may know, I've had my eye on a military inspired light weight jacket for some time now.  I've almost bought 2 or 3 of them in the last 6 months but for some reason keep coming home empty handed.  THIS IS WHY!  I was waiting for this amazing studded jacket to come along, she's on her way.  And now guys, I told you about these shorts (here).  This is your final warning.  If you want some shorts that aren't daisy dukes, fit amazing, and are at an amazing price point, these are them.  They will no doubt sell out in your size, they always do.  If you're even remotely interested, pick up a pair.

Hands down this Alexis Bittar Lion Charm bracelet is my favorite item in the catalog.  It's whimsical, you know I have a thing for cats, and I love the mix of metal and the pop of color.   The necklace ain't half bad either.
Ok, first off, her nails are amazing.  Then, the bracelets, I only discovered Simon Sebbag back in January, and wow, love the stones and the quality.  What do you guys think?  Do you like the white or the yellow best?  I''m leaning towards the white, but I can't decide.

And yes, I am a broken record.  I'm back telling you once again about how fabulous Zella leggings are.  I swear I'm not a Zella sales rep.  I'm loving the new pink for Spring!  As I confessed on Wednesday, I need to lose some junk in my trunk, too many carbs and sweets in my diet, not to mention days on the couch.  A fun new piece of workout wear (or lounge wear which is more accurate these days) always helps give me a bit of a jump start.

Take a peek and let me know what you're loving.  Hoping you've all enjoyed a beautiful weekend!

And now a disclaimer.  I am using Nordstrom affiliate links.  If you click on these links and you buy something, I make a commission.  Same goes for the Nordstrom and Saks banners in my side bar.  Nobody is forcing you to buy anything, but if you do, why not make your purchase though Brass Honey so I get a little something, something.  If you have a problem with this #sorrynotsorry.  Xo

Nordstrom February Into The Blue Picks

Yea!  It's the most wonderful time of the month, my Nordstrom catalog arrived.  It was hard to narrow down my picks this month.  Spring is definitely on the horizon and everything just looks and feels so fresh.  Enjoy friends.

So you may have caught on by now, I have a thing for gold shoes.  When I saw these Halogen flats, I got all excited.  The stripe pair are super cute too aren't they?

And yes, yes and yes.  I love this outfit head to toe, but the skirt is especially dreamy.  Bailey 44 is a bit pricy but the brand puts out such great quality pieces, I can justify the price.

I actually screamed repeatedly when I say this Burberry wrap watch.  By far my favorite item in this month's catalog.  Now imagine me yelling "D, D, D, come in here.  Get off the hopper already.  I've got to show you this."  Ha, poor guy.  I really do need this watch, hello, anniversary present!

Hello hot cubicle worker.  This look is amazing, but I'm especially loving the slit pants,  I mean talk about taking a basic to a whole new level.  The shoes are absolutely gorgeous too!  Promotion please.

Woohoo, and last but not least, Caslon shorts are back.  Ladies, if you're old like me and you don't want to prance around town wearing daisy dukes, these are your shorts!  P.S. this is a public service announcement, please don't wear cotton shorts with high heels, you just look silly.

Take a look at this months catalog and let me know what caught your eye.  XO

Nordstrom New Year's Revelation Picks

It's the most wonderful time of the month!  I got January's Nordstrom catalog in the mail on Monday and couldn't wait to go to town.  I mean how cute is there play on words, New Year's Revelation.  I fricken love it!  I know the Pantone color of the year is is Radiant Orchid (aka purple) but my eye is clearly drawn to all things blue.

\
This Halogen knit dress is a staple and total workhorse.  Better yet, it's only $99.  I have a very similar dress (worn here) in black that I have on regular rotation.  It's polished and professional enough to wear to work, yet it easily transition for dinner and drinks.

Have you guys heard of the brand Hinge?  If you haven't, let me tell you they make the best jackets!  I'm still pining over a Hinge jacket I missed out on 3 Nordstrom Anniversary Sales ago (insert sad face here).  I've had my eye on a field jacket for awhile now and I think this one just might be it.  After the January Spending Freeze is over of course.  Yep, at $88 dollars I'm pretty sure it's a steal!

Loving these Kate Spade watches.  The only problem here is deciding which color I like best.  What do you think?  Do you like the white or the green?

Pipe dream.  Christmas is over and Santa aint coming back for a long time.  I love every piece, but especially the necklace.  Amazing!

God, you've got to go check out the catalog images of these booties.  The second I saw them worn (granted by a gorgeous model) I wined...BECAUSE I WANT THEM.  Look at me being such a bargain shopper this month.  These are just a smidge under $100 too.

And then she goes in for the kill.  I was so pissed when I saw these.  I was in Nordstrom buying leather protector for these beauties when I spotted the red leather.  I hate you Tory Burch.

Favorite Friday v. 8

First things first, happy Friday guys!  I don't know about you, but I am so ready for the weekend.  D and I will be getting our Christmas tree and decorating the house tomorrow.  Have you guys decorated for Christmas yet?  I feel like we're kind of getting a late start, but hey, better late than never.

So as you'll see below I had some trouble picking a favorite this week.  I decided that as the master and creator of this blog that I could go ahead and give myself a break though, so this week I'll be sharing two favorites.  The more the merrier right!

Don't get excited, my content creating skills haven't skyrocketed (all images Nordstrom.com)

Do you guys remember this dress?  I snapped a pic of myself wearing it and posted it to Instagram a few weeks back.  We'll this dress is by the same designer, Presley Skye.  Up until last month I had never heard of the brand, but it's quickly becoming a favorite.  The fit and quality are amazing and the prices are definitely right.  I want to snap this dress up like NOW.

And then there's this gorgeous necklace by Cara.  If you don't know this about me yet, I love huge jewelry, always have (even before it was cool).  People use to tell me that the pieces I wore were gaudy or old ladyish, but I've been a sucker for statement jewelry since I can remember.  I feel like this piece is glam but also very Cleopatra in a way.  I love it!!!

So that's it for this week.  I hope you guys have an amazing weekend.  I'll be back next week with:

Nordstrom Holiday Gift-It Guide

Hello friends!  So I know last week I said I'd have my picks from the November Nordstrom catalog, but seeing as how November is behind us, I figured I'd skip on ahead to December's Gift-it Guide.  You guys don't mind right, besides nobody likes to live in the past.

So, I was at my local Nordstrom on Saturday, and let me just say, the place looked amazing.  I love seeing my favorite department store all decked out for the holidays!  I especially loved that they had little gift tables set up in each department with great gift giving ideas (a lot of which were under $100).
I was walking through handbags when I spotted this fun piece.  For $34 it's the perfect stocking stuffer or gift for a girlfriend.

Fuzzy sweaters haven't been this big since I was in Jr. High.  I'm personally loving their comeback, but I have yet to find "the one".  I picked up this Anthropologie sweater a few months back, but ended up returning it because it was way too boxy.  I think this sweater definitely has potential and lets face it, I'm a sucker for a heart print.  Side note, at 34 am I too old for a heart print?

I featured this infinite love necklace in my What A Girl Wants, For Christmas post and I have it on good authority that it will be mine!  It's been on my wishlist all year and I still love it.

Burberry watch, this was one of those look at the brand and price only after you've fallen totally in love.  Never a good idea.

Jo Malone, because I can NEVER decide which scent I want most so I end up walking away empty handed.  This is brilliant.

I wanted these TOMS booties so bad last Fall, but they sold out right away and then never came back in stock.  When I saw them at my local Nordstrom in August, I immediately purchased a pair in taupe.  I haven't stopped wearing them since.  They go with just about anything  and are so comfortable.

Nordstrom is killing it in their home department this year.  First with the Spoon Me pillow, and now with this.  Flip it over and the pillow reads "Not Tonight".  So fricken cute.

I'll be dreaming of these bad boys for years to come, always wishing I had them.  How often do you see gold boots.  I love you Tory Burch.

And last but not least, this super expensive but gorgeous Eileen Fisher sweater.  When I'm rich, I'll have one for everyday of the week!

Browse the Nordstrom Gift-It Guide and let me know what your favorite piece is.  Have a great day all!

Favorite Friday v. 7

Happy Friday.  Can I just say how glorious it is to be at home and still in my pajamas at 11:30.  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and that you're fortunate enough to be enjoying the long holiday weekend.

Now onto my favorite for this week.  Since October I've been looking for a suitable replacement for the Maggy London dress that disappeared off the racks instantly (here).  When I first say the ML dress I knew I wanted it.  I had that same feeling again on Wednesday when I say this gorgeous BB Dakota number. It's stunning and the price point is amazing!  If you're on the hunt for a holiday dress at a great price point I'd snatch this one up asap, I know I am.

Now back to being lazy.  I think it's time for some leftovers.  How are you guys spending your day?  Any crazy Black Friday shoppers out there?

Favorite Friday v. 5

Happy Friday friends!  This weeks favorite is this amazing Presley Skye dress I picked up at my local Nordstrom last Sunday.  I wore it yesterday with these booties and literally got dozens of compliments.  No joke, people were stopping me in the halls at work  Who doesn't love that.  You can check out the OOTD shot I posted on Instagram if the spirit moves you, I hope it does.  Anyways, if you're in the market for a sweater dress, I totally recommend this one.  The quality is great quality is great, it's incredibly flattering and at $128 the price is right.  Side note, the booties are amazing too, I've been wearing them all week.

Have a great weekend you guys.  I'll be kicking off the week Sunday with my first ever holiday gift guide.  I hope to see you then :)

Nordstrom October Midday Meets Midnight Catalog

Full disclosure, when I did last month's Finally Fall post, I never thought my picks from the Nordstrom catalog would become a regular series on the blog.

I'm not that quick :).

Then yesterday I went to the mailbox and saw October's Midday Meets Midnight catalog. I jumped up and down, squealed like a little girl...and then immediately thought BLOG POST.  Hello, this is a totally natural fit.  I love sharing my latest finds, Nordstrom is my favorite retailer, and their catalog is my fashion bible.  I hope you guys like these posts, because they're here to stay!

So without further ado, here are my picks from October's catalog.  Nordstrom, you nailed it.

We're going to start out casual, but with my favorite piece.  This Sam Edelman jacket is both feminine and rugged.  My favorite combo.  I love the fur detail on the hood and the mix of the black and olive.  Such an amazing versatile jacket.

And just when I think I finally own enough corduroy, BAM, another pair of pants I must own.  I love the print on these.

I'm loving the length on this Maggy London dress, and let's be honest, who can resist a sweetheart neckline.  I'm thinking Thanksgiving or Christmas dress.

Beau Bag, what Beau Bag?  Santa, if you're reading, I love this Kate Spade bag in Pink Champagne.

Every year without fail Nordstrom comes through for me and I buy my Christmas party earrings here.  Some of my favorite pieces of jewelry have come from Nordstrom between the months of October and December.  Ladies, keep your eyes peeled for great pieces.  I think these are it for me this year.

The collar on this Elie Tahari coat reminds me of the collar on my beloved red BCBG coat (you'll be seeing it around, trust me.)  I've owned the coat years and it's still my favorite.  Every time I wear it out, I receive endless compliments.  Who doesn't love that.  It's timeless and classic.  The same goes for this piece.  I can see it standing the test of time.  If this coat were in my price point I'd be making it happen.

My last two picks are out of my price point (such is life).  A girl can dream though right.  If ever two pieces were made for each other, surely they were these (dress/lace coat).

I hope you guys enjoyed.  Browse the catalog and let me know what your favorite pieces are.  Have a great weekend and HAPPY FRIDAY!
